Every single device shares the same great interface that all regular and advanced travelers enjoy using. But when premium navigation features are required when planning big trips or navigating long highways, a 705-series device like the Garmin nuvi 755T is a good pick.

Design

You simply won’t be able to tell what Garmin nuvi model it is just by looking at it. It virtually looks the same as the other budget nuvi models and the more feature rich 805-series. It has a gorgeous 4.3” wide touch screen display that is ideal for checking out maps even when zoomed in.

Interface

Setting up the device is just as easy as turning it on and then getting to where the vital functions are at is just as easy as touching a large icon with an easy-to-read label. You can quickly access the map view by clicking on the “View Map” icon or you can click the “Where to?” icon to enter any destination you want to head to immediately.

• "I've owned my 755T for a little while now. I waited to use it a bit before writing this review. Overall I'm extremely happy with my Garmin. This is my 3rd GPS, the other two being built-in car units. Of the three, the Garmin is the most user friendly, easiest to understand and follow, easiest to update by far, and is the fastest at tracking where I am. I've had the opportunity to use the 755T in a few different cities on the west coast from California up to British Columbia. It accurately figures out where I am unless surrounded by huge buildings (e.g. downtown Los Angeles). The maps are super accurate, wherever I've gone the unit has shown me correct roads and routes. Lane Assist does work. I can tell you from personal experience that it works in numerous cities. Navigation

The Garmin nuvi 755T is a real navigation powerhouse and it isn’t even the highest model of the series. After you have chosen your destination via the “Where to?” button, you are immediately presented with a highly detailed map in 2-D or 3-D highlighting your current location and chosen path to follow. There are over 6 million POIs preloaded so you are sure to bump into some as you drive and the turn-by-turn directions powered by Text-to-speech makes it extremely easy to turn at the right corner while staying focused on the road. It also has HotFix satellite prediction which keeps your position updated so you can go to your destination quicker. You can save up to 10 routes for a very smooth and lengthy trip.

The “Lane Assist” provides an excellent graphic interface showing turns on the highway and what lane you need to be in before you make the turn so it is impossible to miss as long as your route is planned. All the road signs and junctions are visible on the widescreen along with clear indicators for safe navigation.

If ever you want to see the nearest POIs around your location, you can use the “Where Am I?” feature to highlight these areas including police stations, hospitals, gasoline stations, and intersections. It is also remembers the position of your car when you remove it from the windshield so that you can go around on foot without worrying about where you parked because the Garmin nuvi 755T can accurately take you back to your vehicle.

With its integrated FM traffic receiver, you can receive lifetime alerts relating to any road constructions or traffic delays that are taking place in your chosen route. The Garmin nuvi 755T automatically calculates the next best path to go around those obstructions.

Other Features

Like the lower-end models, other nice features including an mp3 player, travel clock, FM transmitter, and other nifty extras are included making the 755T even more valuable.
