Garmin Nuvi
770 Review
There's plenty to see and do with the Garmin nuvi
770 with its widescreen display and easy to use
interface that provides access to many useful features that
aren't only designed with navigation and travel in mind.
Product Overview
The intuitive design of the Nuvi 770's interface display is
just one of the features that make it ideal for both the casual
and frequent traveler alike. Whether you'll be using it to find
your way around town or for a trip across the country, the GPS
does a whole lot more than offer directions, serving as an MP3
player, a JPEG picture viewer, measurement and currency
converters, calculator, world clock, and much more.

nuvi 770 GPS Navigator
The bright, widescreen color display features a white
backlight which makes the device readable in any type of light,
even direct sunlight as it will automatically adjust the color
and brightness for the surrounding conditions. Also, because
the screen measures 4.3 inches diagonally, there's up to 70%
more to see than with a GPS housing a 3.5 inch display,
providing a better view of all the many details available.
All of the Nuvis in the 700 series come preloaded with City
Navigator NT maps for all of the United States, Puerto Rico,
and Canada along with a database of close to six million
different points of interest (POI) that include everything from
amusement parks to zoos and countless types of establishments
in between, and the 770 model is programmed with detailed maps
of Europe as well.
With the purchase of the Garmin Nuvi 770 is the vehicle
suction cup mount and power cord for recharging the unit, a
dashboard disc, the USB cable for connectivity purposes, a
Quick Start manual that explains how the unit works in detail,
as well as the option to receive detailed travel guides and
savings programs.
Notable Benefits and Features
The Nuvi 770 is equipped with Bluetooth capabilities and a
built-in speaker and microphone so users can make and answer
phone calls in conjunction with their Bluetooth compatible
phone by simply touching the display's icons and the keypad for
dialing, making it both easier and safer to talk while
driving.
The integrated FM traffic receiver of the Nuvi 770 allows
users to avoid traffic tie-ups and areas of road construction
during their travels. In most locations, up-to-date broadcasts
are transmitted continuously as they happen without the need to
wait for new alerts to come in.
With purchase of the 770 is a free three month subscription
to TMC Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network and you'll also
never have to worry about being lost while taking an unexpected
detour that didn't get picked up by the traffic receiver as the
device will quickly provide directions to get you back on track
toward your destination.
Plan all of your trips ahead of time with the Nuvi 770's
multi-destination route planning feature whether they're
involved excursions across the country or short jaunts around
town. The device allows users to enter up to ten different
locations and then sorts them by the fastest, most efficient
route, which is ideal for salesmen or those who are looking to
make the most of their car's gas mileage. And, if you need to
see exactly where you've been, a trip log is provided in the
form of an electronic "bread crumb" trail with as many as
10,000 points showing your routes.
The Nuvi 770 also comes with Garmin's antitheft system that
renders the device useless without entering the four digit pin
number first, or without programming the GPS to only work in a
secure location that's been determined ahead of time.
