Product Overview

We all know how a GPS device works; all it calls for is to set a destination and it guides our way to the particular place. Almost all GPS that I have used until date have given me excellent performance. Therefore, to differentiate Magellan Maestro 5310 from the rest of the lot, let’s take a deeper look at the same.

Among the many interesting features of Maestro 5310, its user friendliness tops the list. In order to get to a particular destination all it requires is the address and it’ll guide you to the desired place. Maestro 5310 offers you with several options to set your destination. Say for example you can choose your destination from the saved addresses in the ‘favorites’ or ‘address book’. But in case the address of your desired destination is not saved, then you can manually punch in the address or save it by visiting the place.

Storing an address in your Maestro 5310 is also very easy. It has a button that reads ‘Enter Address’ on the main menu that allows you to pick a destination. All you need to do is to click on the button and you will see several options to get you started. You can select zip code, city, address from your ‘favorites’ which is nothing but a subset of ‘Address book’ and so on and so forth.

In case you choose a zip code or a city, the GPS gadget will show you a keyboard on the screen that you can use to punch in the letters and numbers. The keyboard lay out on the GPS screen is from A-Z. As most of us are used to QWERTY keyboard layout, many may find it difficult typing on this keyboard. It would have been much easier for users if Magellan had kept the keyboard layout similar to QWERTY.

I selected this model/ Nice large screen, easy clear commands, easy to use, I know the city very well but this, makes my day SOO MUCH EASIER> If you need to make up to twenty stops this GPS is for you. More user reviews :
•  "This is my second Maestro! I bought a 3.5" a couple years ago and its performed super!! The only reason I bought this new one was because of the bigger 5" screen! I passed my first one down to my daughter (Lord knows she needs guidence!! LOL). The Magellan are very easy to use and very intutive. My first GPS was a Garmin and its a bit more complicated." - Bill Lundquist (Minnesota,USA)

•  "The 5 inch screen is a very big improvement over the 4" screen. I went from an installed GPS unit in my car to this unit. It is easy to see and very easy to program. Maps are up to date and the AAA tour book is very useful." - J.Savesky (Illinois,USA)
